The Need:
Returning citizens face some of the highest barriers to employment including stigma, documentation challenges, and legal restrictions. Without support, many face recidivism or long-term unemployment.
What We’re Doing:
We help with ID recovery, background-friendly employer matching, skills training, and long-term mentorship. We also advocate for fair chance hiring and provide legal clinics through partner organizations.
Impact So Far:
We’ve supported over 1,200 returning citizens in reentering the workforce with employment and wraparound support. Our Restart program has shown a 72% long-term retention rate among participants.
What Continued Support Will Do:
Your gift helps us grow reentry support in new regions, provide more targeted legal aid, and expand mentorship to help people not just reenter but rebuild their lives.
